Refugees & Asylum Seekers
ICN offers the following support to adults:
- Help with finding good quality and reasonably priced accommodation within the town.
- Support in dealing with various offices and the Home Office.
- Regular social events for friendship and community building
- Annual holiday for families at a subsidised price.
- Form filling.
- Advice on immigration matters.
- Women and children group for English, cultural integration and community.
- Assisting in job finding and interviewing skills.
- To be a friend in need.
ICN is the only ‘Supporting People’ organisation in Bournemouth BC working with refugees.
The adult refugee team are available to offer advice and help through traumatic times. Working with destitute failed asylum seekers at times brings challenges and difficulties most people are unaware of.
ICN is also registered with the OISC (Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner).
I do not think of ICN as an organisation, I think of it as part of my family.
