Job opportunity - UASC manager

 

As ICN increases its service provision for Local Authority Children's Services, providing accommodation and support for (UASC)unaccompanied asylum seeking children (16 and 17 year olds), we need a manager from September 2017 to lead and develop the programme. 

  • experience and passion in supporting UASC essential
  • proven leadership, financial and administrative skills
  • full or part-time (min. 3 days/week) and salary negotiable

Syrian Refugees - homes needed

 

ICN is helping Local Authorities in Dorset as they receive Syrian families under the government Syrian Vulnerable Persons Resettlement Scheme.  We urgently need to find homes (flats or houses) for three families (2 adults +2 children) before the end of 2017.  We would love to hear from prospective landlords ASAP. Separated Children Seeking Asylum (Formerly UASC)

ICN now accommodates and supports ten UASC from Afghanistan, Ethiopia,  Syria, Iran and Iraq on behalf of Local Authority Children Services. We urgently need more 'Supported Lodging Carer Families' to  increase our provision. Currently we offer £20 per day for  accommodation and food. FREE English Classes & Homework club for mothers and children

This is now sponsored by the BBC children in Need appeal and is held at St Andrew's Church Hall (Shelbourne Road) on a Wednesday from 1.00 - 3.00pm followed by the homework club from 3.30 - 5.00pm STARTS WEDNESDAY 6 SEPTEMBER 2017
